Gil ain't quite as useful in Final Fantasy 8 Remastered as it is in some of the other Final Fantasy games. That said, you can never have too much and while the SEED Salary certainly helps - waiting for that is not the most efficient means of getting rich! From disk 2, the age old 'buy an item and turn it into something more worthy before reselling' trick becomes available. It takes about 30 seconds to earn 25k gil profit and the trick can be repeated as many times as you like.

Now if only real life was this simple lol.
