Infinite Looping Starfield Blender Tutorial - No Man's Sky Loading Screen with Geometry Nodes
An extensive, intermediate-difficulty Blender tutorial on how to make an infinitely looping, procedurally generated starfield scene using Geometry Nodes, in the style of the loading screen from No Man's Sky. Also includes some tricks for making your own infinite looping scenes based on this node group.
Important: Requires Blender 3.x Geometry Nodes. I used version 3.2, but it might be compatible with versions between this and 3.0 (further testing needed). I believe there is only one node that might not be available in earlier versions, but I've also included a workaround just in case.
This was a much longer video than I anticipated, and also much longer than I have edited before, so I would appreciate any feedback and I will try to answer questions in comments as much as I am able. Thank you for watching and I hope this is useful!
