In Shadowrun for the SNES, there's a very easy trick you can abuse to essentially get infinite money, and it can be performed pretty much anywhere there's a merchant .

All you need to do is open up your menu and prepare to Give an item to a merchant or "fence." The Give command is how you sell stuff in this game. After selecting the Give option, you'll need to press the Start button to open your menu with the correct timing. If you did it right, you'll see your menu will basically immediately open back up again. Now you can choose the Give command on that same item. In this instance, I chose to Give the Leather Jacket twice.

Now Give the item to a nearby merchant, and you will sell the item, but your Give To interface will still be open. Now select yourself to give the item back into your own inventory. In this example I was able to sell the Leather Jacket for 1000¥ while still keeping the Leather Jacket in my inventory. In other words, this glitch allows you to sell an item without actually getting rid of it.

This glitch will work with virtually any item at virtually any merchant, and it basically allows you to get infinite money (although it can be slow if you choose to Give a cheaper item repeatedly).

Also just FYI money is called nuyen in this game and uses the ¥.
