"Initial D: Second Stage" – K.T.'s Message for Takumi, After the Loss ("Tricked Out" Dub, Full Clip)
PLEASE READ NOTE IN DESCRIPTION BELOW BEFORE RATING AND COMMENTING ON THIS VIDEO! I apologize if this is a bit too long, but please don't take this too personal. This note is important for y'all to understand what I'm talking about.
NOTE: Okay so, I understand that this English dub of the "Initial D" anime series is not well-received, as according to what everyone's talking about.
But to me, I kinda liked Tokyopop's "Tricked Out" dub, for its "So bad, it's good" type of value.
Y'all can feel free to disagree with me, but please be noted that opinion-bashing will NOT be tolerated on my channel…. AT ALL.
I do know that what Tokyopop's saying about their infamously-"Tricked Out" dub of "Initial D" is that they're trying to release it on TV, maybe either MTV2, Spike TV, [adult swim], FOX Sports Net (Frankly, "Initial D" IS sports-related and based, quite frankly speaking.) or SPEED Channel.
But unfortunately, NONE of them wanted it, which is quite a pain in the ass, really.
TBH, Some of the re-changed character names for some of the characters in the Tokyopop dub I find were a bit fitting and a bit recognizable, which is a bit of a problem to me, like "Tak" Fujiwara, "K.T." Takahashi, "Cole" Iketani and "Zak" Nakazato were a bit too fitting for me.
The rest of the other re-changed names in the Tokyopop dub, like "Hawk" (Sei-ji Iwaki on the Mitsubishi Lan Evo "Emperors"), "Aki" (Wataru Akiyama of Toyota AE86 Turbo), "Iggy" (Itsuki Takeuchi of Toyota Corolla AE85), "Carrie" (Kazumi Akiyama) or Kent (Kenta Nakamura of Nissan S-14 - Silvia Q)….. Hell to the goddamn NOPE.
And of course, I bet some of y'all even have the Tokyopop DVDs, either the original DVD volumes, or the re-released Complete Season box set that was released when FUNimation and Tokyopop collaborated, like how they did with "GTO".
Of course, If some of ya don't like the "Tricked Out" mode, there's always the "Import Classic" mode, but I dunno if they allow you to toggle between the dubs, that is, if you're a hardcore fan of English-dubbed anime.
If you don't like what I just uploaded, then feel free to turn off this video now, and go watch any other videos from my channel that best interests you. I highly respect all people's opinions on this, but as long as y'all respect mines back. End of note.
