📌Injustice 2 continues the story set in motion in Injustice: Gods Among Us as Batman and his allies work towards putting the pieces of society back together, but struggle against those who would restore Superman’s Regime. In the midst of this chaos, a new threat appears that will put Earth’s very existence at risk.
Story Mode consists of 76 different fights and five difficulties from Very Easy to Very Hard. Completing a chapter will grand you an epic-tier Gear for the fighter you use during that chapter as well as a common-tier Shader for that fighter. Completing the entire Story on your first playthrough will reward you with a total of 10 Bronze, 7 Silver, 1 Gold, 1 Platinum, and 1 Diamond Mother Boxes as well as a total of over 55,000 credits, 7 Regeneration tokens, and 3,700 Source Crystals. You will also unlock Brainiac as a playable fighter.

📌In an underground warehouse all of the heroes meet. Batman secretly gives a mission to Firestorm but otherwise everyone hears the plan: restore Brother Eye. Unfortunately, they need to head to Arkham Asylum to do so and Cyborg's tech isn't able to teleport him right there anymore so Cyborg, Harley Quinn, and Catwoman head to the asylum.
Poison Ivy is waiting for your band of misfits at the Arkham Asylum. She gasses Harley Quinn with pheromones and deceives her into fighting either Cyborg or Catwoman (your choice throughout this chapter). Defeating Harley will allow you to fight the one who did this to her: Poison Ivy. Go into battle once more outside the asylum and win and you'll be able to save Harley Quinn who almost dies from what Poison Ivy did to her. The three are able to resume walking towards the Batcave with Brother Eye inside . Harley Quinn keeps guard outside and as they finally get inside they see Bane and Deadshot waiting for them. Whoever you select to fight here will face Bane while the other handles Deadshot off camera.
As Cyborg and Catwoman approach Brother Eye they meet Brainiac who is very complimentary of Cyborg, but disapproves of his humanity. With this comes Brainiac's ploy of freeing an all-machine version of Cyborg from himself named Grid. This "perfect" version of Cyborg is the last fighter of the chapter, and it only seems right to pick Cyborg here while Catwoman gets the back-up generators running for Brother Eye. Take him out to get back to Brother Eye. Brainiac swears that you will never take his systems or him down, but Cyborg prevails in at least securing Brother Eye for the unofficially reformed Justice League. Evacuations can now begin before launching their offensive on Brainiac.
