In the three years since ESPN and Full Sail teamed up to unveil the ESPN Sports Lab Powered by Full Sail University, there have been a number of different opportunities for our students to get involved with various ESPN initiatives. ESPN undoubtedly leads the broadcast industry in sports production. They got there by constantly pushing for new and better ways to enhance coverage, and their technology team is a huge part of this effort. In this panel, ESPN representatives discuss everything from 3D cameras to robotics and how they get sponsors to embrace these new ideas.

Jason Vega is a Concept Developer within the Emerging Technology team at ESPN, Inc. His role is to create and develop technologies that will enhance production, create efficiencies and move the business forward across multiple platforms.

Kevin Stolworthy serves as ESPN's Senior Vice President, content and information technology. He is responsible for all content production and corporate information systems, broadcast technical facilities design and maintenance, on-air production software development, enterprise software development and content transmission technology and operations. For his wide-ranging role with ESPN's industry-leading, cutting-edge technology, he was chosen by Broadcasting & Cable as a 2012 Technology Leader.

Marina Escobar, a 26-year media veteran, joined the senior leadership team of ESPN's Emerging Technology in March 2008. Her role as Senior Director of Creative Technology reflects a paradigm shift for ESPN by capitalizing on her unique combination of design skills and deep understanding of data representation using high-end graphic software platforms to deliver innovation to their broadcasts. She and her team are tasked with re-thinking and defining how ESPN achieves success, through new ideas and technologies.
Anthony Bailey is ESPN's Vice President of Emerging Technology. His team is responsible for developing many of the on-air advancements fans have come to love including Virtual Pitch Analysis, Huck-O-Meter and the Emmy-winning EA Virtual Playbook.
