10Exploring the incredible Harrods department store in London! We begin this tour in the world famous food halls, before moving on to the gift shop, luxury homeware, toy department, and luxury accessories (along with a few short clips elsewhere in store). I normally film inside Harrods once every two years, and this time i have filmed more footage from inside than ever before (including some parts i've never captured on camera until now!). Taking photos and filming inside Harrods was for many years, forbidden, but following a change of ownership sometime around 2010, these rules were relaxed. Filming in the jewellery/watch departments however is still frowned upon, which means they are not featured within this video (i didn't want to risk getting kicked out).
Harrods is a department store located on Brompton Road in Knightsbridge, London, England. It occupies a 5-acre (2 ha) site and has 330 departments covering 1.1 million sq ft (100,000 m2) of retail space. It is one of the largest and most famous department stores in the world. The Harrods motto is Omnia Omnibus Ubique, which is Latin for "all things for all people, everywhere".
Products on offer in Harrods include clothing for women, men, children and infants, electronics, jewellery, sporting gear, bridal trousseau, pet accessories, toys (including Christmas and signature teddy bears), food and drink, health and beauty items, packaged gifts, stationery, housewares, home appliances, furniture, and much more. Up to 300,000 customers visit the shop on peak days, comprising the highest proportion of customers from non-English speaking countries of any department store in London. More than five thousand staff from over fifty different countries also work at Harrods.
