Previously, the maximum video resolution was 2.7K, and the new GO 3S allows shooting with a resolution of 4K at 30 frames per second. A 2.7K mode at 50 frames per second is also available for those who want smoother slow-motion video.
An important addition was compatibility with Apple Find My, which allows you to pair the GO 3S with an iPhone. The company notes the limited operation of the camera underwater due to Bluetooth signal interference. Also, the included Action Pod does not support Find My.
The water resistance of the novelty has increased from 5 meters to 10 meters, but this only applies to the camera itself. The Action Pod requires a separate underwater case for diving.
Slow motion is improved to a maximum of 200 fps at 1080p resolution and 100 fps at 2.7K resolution. Timelapse received the Dynamic Timelapse effect, which cuts the video to simulate panoramic shooting. The device can automatically detect and adjust horizontal or vertical shooting parameters.
