This means you can beta test for Garmin and get access to new features and bug fixes. This tutorial works on all Garmin watches including Forerunner 35, 235, 45, 245, 645, 735, 935, 945, Fenix 5, Fenix 6, Vivoactive 3, Vivoactive 4, Venu, Instinct, and other Garmin watches.

Follow the steps below to install beta firmware on your Garmin Watch:
1. Go to https://forums.garmin.com and find the section for your Garmin watch.
2. If beta firmware is available it should be the top post in the forum section for your watch. Select the post about the beta software.
3. Download the beta software for your Garmin watch.
4. Extract the downloaded firmware and find the gupdate.gcd file
5. Plug your Garmin watch into your computer.
6. Open the file explorer on your PC and find the directory for your Garmin watch.
7. Copy the gupdate.gcd file into the GARMIN folder on your Garmin watch's storage.
8. Disconnect your watch from your computer.
9. Your watch should recognize the update. Select install now to install the beta software on your Garmin watch.
