8Here is my DCC Fitting Guide video where I fit the Hornby HM7000 DCC BlueTooth 21 Pin DCC Decoder into a Hornby Class 60 Diesel Locomotive with a better Bass Speaker and the results are quite satisfying to say the least.
The good points is that you can use this locomotive wirelessly on any live track that is DCC and in some cases DC but if you use a DC controller like me as a power bus. Please make sure it is a newer controller and preferably less than 5 years old as these new controllers smooth out the power better unlike the older ones.
In truth and to be honest here. The Hornby HM7000 is designed to work best with the Hornby locomotives due to the way the lights are wired for maximum benefit but they can also work with other brands of locomotives with limitations.
