Hi guys and welcome to Fallout 4 Mod Highlights! In this series we take a short look one of the many mods that have been released for the game, I go over all of the important details, any problems or issues you need to be aware of and how to install it! By the end of each video, you will hopefully have a good idea as to whether the mod is something that you would like to add to your load order.

So today's mod is Institute Centaurs by TheFriedTurkey, who is part of the Fallout 4 Capital Wasteland mod team.
The Capital Wasteland mod is a massive undertaking, a team of modders are trying to recreate Fallout 3 in the Fallout 4 engine! But whilst that is in development they are releasing assets as downloadable mods on the nexus such as this Creature as well as outfit packs! There is actually a road map that outlines the mods they are planning to release over the next month - this is mod is number 4 on the roadmap!
Anyway let's take a look - so initially you may think this is just a recreation of the Centaurs we see in Fallout 3 & NV, whilst yes they look ezqually if not more horrifying than the originals, their backstory is related to the institute, and was a result of their FEV testing, mixing humans with different animals, so they're kind of the same but different!
So these Centaurs were based off fallout 4 scrapped concept art, which can also be seen in the concept art book. The centaur never made it into game due to them being replaced with the mutant hounds which I think is unfortunate since they are iconic to the franchise - but that's to modding they are back with custom animations and their infamous spit attack.
The institute centaurs can be found anywhere you find Super Mutants, and mutant hounds. There is also a Glowing Version of them, and these are the stuff of nightmares!
So that's all the details now let's get onto installation - This mod is very simple to install. Just head to the mod page (the link is in the description), go to the files section, hit Mod Manager Download or Manual Download. For those using a mod manager (I'm using Nexus Mod Manager) wait for it to download then double click to install. There's no install options you need to press it will just install. If you install it manually just extract the contence of the archive into your Fallout 4 data folder.
