Intel 6th Generation & Later U Series CPU’s Allow Full Control Over USB3
A flaw in the 6th generation and later Intel Core processors (Skylake onwards) allows malicious code to be run via a thumb stick plugged into a USB 3.0 port.
This code cannot be detected via a standard antivirus, and also the operating system itself doesn't make a difference, meaning the Intel debugging DCI flaw can affect Windows, Linux or another system.
Intel are said to be informed and attempting to fix the issue.
