Intel's two currently released Broadwell platforms go head to head in GRID Autosport to see how these, on paper, similar chips pair up.

Both are based on the same dual-core, GT2 graphics, Broadwell silicon and feature Turbo Mode support, but operate in quite different power envelopes.

The Core M 5Y10c is limited to just 4.5W and runs at a base clock of just 800MHz with a maximum turbo speed of 2GHz for the CPU core, whilst the HD 5300 iGPU graphics have a base clock of 300MHz, up a maximum of 800MHz Max Dynamic frequency.

The Core i5-5200U has a considerably higher 15W TDP and much higher base clock of 2.2GHz and 2.7GHz turbo speed for the CPU core. The HD 5500 iGPU graphics core has the same 300MHz base clock as the Core M's HD 5300 and a slightly higher Max Dynamic frequency of 900MHz, but the higher TDP allows it to make use of these higher frequencies more of the time.
