https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RDw_Uh9ZHEk&t=25s -Intel 9th generation Coffee Lake

Intel's cascade lake-x has leaked out onto the internet, and we'll see the skylake-x successor appear on store shelves by the 4th quarter of 2018. Cascade lake-x will remain on the x299 platform, although core count and performance haven't been listed as yet.

Intel's Coffee Lake-S CPUs will also have additional skus in the early part of next year, and possibly the tweaked / altered 9th generation might appear by around march or april, meaning coffee lake refresh might slightly better compete against the upcoming ryzen 12nm die shrink.

There's less information on the 8 core mainstream processors from Intel however, and their existence still hasn't been confirmed in a roadmap.
