Intel Core m3-7Y30 Gaming: Doom 64 Retribution (GZDoom)
I mentioned this to one of my subscribers that I wanted to show off some sort of tech, surely most people have heard a little device called the GPD Win 2. A handheld PC capable of playing a huge amount of games some old, and even some new! However this is not the same device, but it uses the same System on a Chip. The Cube Mix Plus is a really nice and affordable tablet using Intel Core m3-7Y30. The Core m3-7Y30 has blown me away, and usually I like my big beefy PCs. Yet this little chip could surpass current gen consoles just with the amount of games it could play. However the tablet was not designed with the sort of gaming. And if you plan on getting this laptop you will NEED to do a thermal mod. Though it's actually not that difficult. Well worth the extra few dollars spent.
Maybe that last bit is a tad exaggerated, it won't do 4k every game at the best graphical settings. Don't even expect it to run Crysis at max settings (It'll still run even on medium). But for something that's on the go, this chip is quite capable.
The next few videos will be showing some games that would have no problems running on this chip. First up is Doom 64 Retribution. A port/mod that brings Doom 64 to GZDoom. I remember a random user asking someone else to try this on the Win 2. Sadly we never saw that happen. So here is Doom 64 Retribution running on the latest svn version of GZDoom on the Core m3-7Y30. If it runs this good on here, the Win 2 will no doubt get the same results
