Intentionally triggering the filament runout sensor on the Prusa MK3S for science or something
Maybe this will get a full video, maybe it won’t. I dunno. I was given this Prusa MK3S for the low price of free.99 by a friend on Discord, and I’ve been slowly learning the ins and outs of it. In this case I had thought that if you had a filament runout mid print that was it, print was toast. But today I learned by just experimenting that no, the MK3S will just pause and let you load in more filament. Pretty cool.
(And yes I know googling around would have confirmed this but I wanted to see it for myself, and this printer has been modified quite a bit before I got my hands on it so I wanted to make sure it all worked as intended. For good example of things not going quite right, I have to actually stay on firmware 3.11.0 because the Revo Six hotend doesn’t work properly with newer versions. I’ve tried workarounds and none of them seem to work.)
But yeah. But of whatever content. Hopefully you enjoy it for what it’s worth! #prusa #3dprinting
