A #MARCHintosh fail: G4 MDD PSU recap (also some stuff in description)
8Sorry if my voice sounds a little hoarse, throat's a bit sore.
So...yeah. I anticipated this was going to hopefully go a lot faster than it did. Turns out, it didn't, and it's kinda delaying everything else because my workbench is full of MDD parts while I wait to get paid so I can order the remaining caps to hopefully finish this.
Those on social media may know the "cataclysmic life events", but those who don't: Roommate's hubris finally got the attention of our landlords and they were none too happy about it and we were faced with an ultimatum: Effectively kick the roommate out, or face eviction. The roommate left of her own accord.
As you can imagine this...has been both good and bad: Good because no longer do I have to worry about dogs barging in on video production! Bad because, well, that's a chunk of income we now have to make up. Fortunately, thanks to help from people on Mastodon, I was able to clear enough bills (specifically a bunch of 2021 family emergency debt) to make this happen.
We're just past a month removed from that whole situation and the mental health cooldown has been something else. Hope to be back in the swing of things soon.
