Come see six interaction design project in the area of Health and Wellness. This year the University of Washington's graduate Interaction Design Studio is participating in the Microsoft's Design Expo 2007, MSR's forum to encourage and showcase exceptional design thinking about the future of computing and interaction design. In advance of the main expo event in July 17, we are taking advantage of the fact that UW is close and bringing the class here to Redmond. Projects will be in the area of personal medical records, nutrition, volunteering, healthy lifestyle choices, stress management and uncertainty in medical communication. Each presentation will be 10 minutes followed by 5 minutes of Q&A. As part of a quarter long course students were asked to design a scenario, user experience and interaction prototype exploring the importance of health and wellness. Software can improve the daily life, and long term well being of a wide variety of users: from promoting wellness and life balance, to addressing difficult health related issues, to addressing healthcare systems and tools.
