The 3rd Crucis Lancers fail to hold the line against the warrior houses of the Confederation, and as their lines broke, a commando squad of the Maskirovka invaded their command center and captured the codebook that House Davion uses for encrypted messages.
Now, the Maskirovka plan to send the codebook back to Sian, the Confederation's capital, and use it to read and forecast all of the military movements of Davion invasion force.
There is one chance, however. Regulation requires intel to be verified before being sent to Sian meaning the Maskirovka will have to decrypt the codebook first giving a window of opportunity to blackout the communications network before it can be sent.
Marshall Jackson assumes command of both 2nd and 3rd Crucis Lancers while deploying Fox's team to destroy the communication centers of a nearby city that the Maskirovka have been traced to.
