I e-mailed my senator about the recent internet privacy bill which pretty much lets ISPs spy on you all the time. The e-mail was rather mean sprited but much to my surprise I actually got a response. Sadly, the response was even worse than being told to just buzz off. The explanation I got is that allowing Comcast or ATT to sell my data for marketing purposes is neccessary to fight terrorism. I kid you not.
