Interstate '76 controller setup & how to install & play online
I made a mistake in the video. In the .bat file to launch the game I have -glide but that will only work if you have a glide wrapper installed like dgVoodoo. Normally you want to do -d3d if you just get the game from gog.com and replace the exe file with the one from nitro patch 4 on interstate76.com then you will want your launch bat to look like this:
taskkill /f /IM explorer.exe
start /w nitro.exe -d3d
pause
start explorer.exe
You can choose how the game launches with the -d3d part. Change it to -glide to launch it in glide or just delete that part alltogether to launch it in software mode.
To play at high resolution you first have to add a custom resolution to your computer. Depending if you have an NVidia card or Radeon ATI the steps are different so you might have to look up a guide for your card how to add a custom resolution. For a 1080 screen add 1440x1080 custom resolution. Now unzip dgVooDoo into i76 directory and run it and select 1440x1080 res and any other options you want. Now you have full resolution and hardware acceleration with online multiplayer.
I got a new xbox 360 controller to replace the one I lost and I have a new i76 install that I needed to setup to the controller and so I thought I would video the process so others can see the kind of stuff you have to do to get the game going at it's best.
