My best one yet , quite the roller coaster starting between 3 AI with the repulsive Moltars :) .. Tied my best to bribe / appease the AI players, still ended with a LOT of combat but only for short periods 1 vs 2 ..

Also in this lets play I took a look at Early Breakthrough Mechanic (had above 60% chance for it during the end game .. The problem is the odds for it to trigger (easy as they are to calculate via simple summation) are irrelevant seeing as the dice roll only happens once in a blue moon when all the planets on the map seemingly manage to align (only slight exaggeration) .. Took me until around turn 140 to get my FIRST early breakthrough ! A species trait ("creative") that has great odds on doing nothing for 140 turns of the game is worth about just as much .

Also struggled with only 3! ship leaders for most of the game .. (XP generated for ship leaders is not divided by number of ship leaders, so the more you have - the more hero XP [attributes & secondary skills] you generate at the cost of extra upkeep.. )
