We need to have a little chat about romance in the Mass Effect games. Because some of y’all get a little weird and cringey when it comes to your obsession with romance in these video games. This doesn’t apply to everyone in the fan base, but if it applies to you consider this a friendly intervention.

I’ve always found romance in video games to be kind of strange. When it’s well written it can be interesting and fun to experience, but I don’t play video games for the romantic connections in these stories. I play Mass Effect because of the interesting choices, story points and compelling characters. The romance is really an afterthought. It’s nice to have but I wouldn’t miss it if it were gone either.
