In this series, we will be designing a base we can upgrade all the way up to a megabase, shooting for 1350 SPM (science per minute), where as far as possible we don't deconstruct anything, but rather upgrade in place and lay new components over top of existing ones. This episode goes over the basic concept of what we are trying to do, and then we design a simple 100x100-tile grid system we'll use for the base.
