Fear and Hunger is set in a world that mirrors our own, but still being a different separate universe. Fear and Hunger takes place in 1600’s Europa, a medieval setting. The main Kingdom mentioned in the events is the Kingdom of Rondon, which is a feudal monarchy that frequently relies on mercenary bands to bolster it’s own military.
The origins of the dungeon are unclear, but at the beginning of the game, it’s known as being the darkest harshest dungeon in the kingdom, where only the worse or the most hated prisoners are sent. Anyone sent to the dungeon of Fear and Hunger is best off saying good bye to the sun again once they descend into the dark prison cells of the dungeon.
