My WIP Visual overhaul mod works alongside DS2LightingEngine mod to transform your experience in Drangleic. Here's what I'm planning for it to add initially:
-all bonfires cast dynamic shadows
-light fixtures in every zone cast shadows
-torches and flame butterflies are easier to drop
-removing unnecessary point lights held over from old rendering engine
-adding new dynamic lights where needed
-torch use will be highly needed in many areas, but can be negated a bit by increasing your character lantern setting in DS2LightingEngine UI
-my grass mod will be included
-more to come
