Several years ago I got 'Shadow Ops: Red Mercury' as a bonus with an issue of 'PC Games', the PC videogame magazine I read at the time.
From that point on it became a game I really enjoyed playing through and I didn't mind buying it again digitally, especially during one of Steam's countless sales.
Since I bought about a year ago, this game has been sitting on my growing Backlog of games, I've never even installed.
To get back into doing more videos here on YouTube I thought why not start with something I know, something I like.
Eleven videos later and a bit of fruitless fiddling around in After Effects I have this playthrough of 'Shadow Ops: Red Mercury'.
This video in particular includes several edits I did the original video intros, to make them more presentable in 16:9, since the game only really works correctly in 4:3.
The video footage was recorded with the PC/Steam version of 'Shadow Ops: Red Mercury', at a resolution of 1440x1080 (but through Dxtory oddities, came out as 1400x1050) at 60 frames per second.
Because YouTube wouldn't display the video in its original aspect ratio and resolution I decided to go for the 1280x720 @ 60 fps route.
Any type of loading screen is completely cut out in the playthrough, to make the videos as seamless as possible.
There are also countless smaller edits throughout the playthrough, most of them regarding the custom background border I made, where the would have been black borders originally.
I'm always looking for ways to improve upon my videos, so any (constructive) criticism is welcome!
