Last year, we launched the Sumo Digital Academy, a talent development programme designed to open doors and remove barriers into the game industry for those who haven't followed traditional routes into the industry.

Over the course of the current programme, programming students (led by Director of Education Partnerships, Dr Jacob Habgood) work to develop their skills in game programming and software development.

On August 18th, 2021, our first cohort – who are all about to graduate into permanent roles at Sumo - are proud to be releasing their first commercial project, Zool Redimensioned. Published by Secret Mode, this brand-new reimagining of the classic action platforming adventure has been brought to life by the inaugural cohort of the Sumo Digital Academy!
