Introduction to Windows Phone Silverlight Programming
This talk is part of a lecture series associated with the Hawaii Intern XAPFest app building contest. While it is targeted to Interns interested in entering the contest, anyone wanting to learn about Windows Phone Silverlight programming is welcome to attend. Subsequent lectures in this series will cover topics such as XNA, Mango, Hawaii and Azure development. See http://hixap for more details. In this talk, we will cover Silverlight and its capabilities and will discuss how it fits into the Windows Phone development architecture. We will cover XAML, controls, events, animations, and data binding. There will be demos throughout. Attendees are encouraged to BYOL (bring your own laptop) with the latest Windows Phone Developer Tools (http://create.msdn.com) installed so they can follow along.
