"Intrusive Ads" in Pokémon GO... Why it would DESTROY the game!
226Recently, there was some panic within the Pokémon GO community because some datamined code indicated that Intrusive Ads would be coming to the game. However, Niantic was quick to say that they have no intention adding these problematic advertisements into Pokémon GO. But since we do not know what Scopely Inc will do with the game, we should talk about why Intrusive Ads would be devastating to the game.

However, it attracted controversy for contributing to accidents and creating public nuisances. Various governments expressed concerns about security, and some countries regulate its use. By early 2019, the game had over a billion global downloads, grossing over $3 billion in revenue. The game also had over 147 million monthly active users as of May 2018.
