In this video guide we show you how to best setup iRacing in order to get the highest frame rate possible for playing in VR.

We discuss and explain what each setting does, why you may or may not want to use it and how much each setting will impact frame rate.

If you have a faster system ( GTX 1070 ) Or above you may find that you can run iRacing with higher settings sans issue, please be aware this video is more for explaining what the settings do and to help people with slower systems play iRacing without issue !

Its worth also noting that some tracks seem to have stutter on them at certain locations regardless of the settings and it will also be the case that some race series will be more demanding visually than others due to the complexity of the car models and grid sizes. So before you go for higher settings its worth doing an official race with these low settings , check performance and then increase them accordingly !

Lastly, remember that Render to pixel is also a form of AA known as Supersample anti-aliasing (SSAA) so if you do run at 150-200 pixel density then you will likely not need as much AA in game.
