Irbe makes a split save that can only be said to be... "like wall".... a very small wall mind you... A wall very open to aerial attacks.... But a wall none the less.

Legend has it that after saves like these, Richter and hasek cried themselves to sleep for many nights. With nightmares of there split saves not being up to par with the grea..... wall one?


On another random note I finally got a chance to play the genisis version of all star hockey. If anyone recalls Irbe is the WORST rated goalie in this whole game. Yet is the cover star, has his own intermission report everything. Well in the genisis version he is basically the best goalie in the game. Gets around a 95 in everything besides puckhandleing. Truely a more deserving rating! lol



I belive this save was also used durning a beer commerical for the 94-95 season as well. lol
