When I played the game for the first time, I didn't quite manage to make a sword, and this was at the very beginning of the game during the tutorial!
You get text-based directions from a character standing in the room with you, but it's up to you to figure it out and find what you need to take the necessary steps.
Anyway, I understand that we should not always get the porridge in our mouths, but it is also not the intention that you wander around in 1 room for almost 10 minutes and still not find it.
I also noticed that certain required items were lost after restarting the game when you restarted the game because you lost those items in the first session (and didn't spawn them back).
But the tutorial wasn't impossible, with a little patience and extra attention (and repetition) I managed to progress.
While the trailer for the game looks like there's a lot to do and explore in the game, it's more likely to be a case of vastly building up your wealth and opportunities to expand your craft as a medieval weapon smith.
In the game you will also not be in the most beautiful medieval time, because you will have to be part of the preparation for a war, and the outcome of this war may then depend on your quality of how you create the weapons.
