Is G-Saviour really that bad? [First Gundam Live-action Movie]
26G-Saviour seems to get a lot of hate, and I admit when I first got into Gundam, I tried watching it but couldn't. Though, now that I know a bit more about Universal Century and the familiar Gundam tropes we've come to know and love - it's really not bad.
For it being a TV movie from 1999, it's top-of-the-line. But, the story is very Gundam-exposition-heavy, and even the Japanese version added an intro with edited action scenes from later in the film.
We still get great Mobile Suit designs, an awesome UC plot that drives the rift between colonizers and those in power, and really it is Gundam - the name is just never mentioned!
