Is Hasbro Releasing a New Edition of HeroQuest? | Attempts to Re-Release HeroQuest
Always Board Never Boring muses on previous attempts from companies to get a reprint of HeroQuest to market, and then discusses a new website that seems to suggest Avalon Hill (Hasbro) is about to launch a brand new version of HeroQuest. Will it be everything we hoped for, or is nostalgia always best kept in the past?
Please note, Always Board isn't saying Hasbro shouldn't make HeroQuest. He thinks they should, and would be very happy to buy a copy if the chance arises. His point is that he would be very surprised if it could possibly live up to expectations, because it's a new game, it's not a time machine, and part of his love for the game is forever encapsulated in that golden moment in 1989. A point in time no company can sell him.
