Normally in Hollow Knight you have to talk to Hornet to get the Dash ability as well as the Kings Brand. From there you are then able to get into the abyss, acquire she shade cloak and then get the kings soul charm before finally heading back into to the abyss to get the void heart charm.

You must have the void heart charm in order to fight the radiance (as well as the dream nail).

I want to know, If we Skip talking to hornet, will she still help us fight the Radiance. I also want to figure out what is the one singular trigger that causes the Radiance fight to trigger.

We also end up finding that there are two Quirrels!
