Welcome to the premiere of Supergirl Season 2! We have so many thoughts and theories on this first episode as well as going forward. We believe that Mon-El is connected to the Dominators who are the main villains of the DCTV Crossover. A lot has happened on this Monday night premiere as we get to see Superman in the flesh, team up with his cousin Supergirl! We also get a hint on Metallo who was experimented on in CADMUS Labs. Picking up from the Season 1 finale, Kara and J'onn race to stop the rogue alien pod from crashing and injuring innocent people. While investigating it she finds the Daxamite Mom-El in a coma. They bring him to the new DEO headquarters to find out more about him. J'onn enlists the help of Winn to find out what Mon-El is after displaying characteristics similar to a Kryptonian. Back at Catco Cat tries to help Kara find her true calling. Kara heads home and prepares for her date with Jimmy when the space shuttle from the Venture Launch Day event malfunctions. Clark and Kara see it on the news then team up to stop the shuttle from crashing, saving the people onboard. Kara brings Clark back to the DEO to meet everyone and to see if he can help find out more about Mon-El. They decide that Clark stick around until they get some answers. While at Catco Alex calls Kara and gives her a lead involving Lena Luthor, the sister of Lex Luthor. A man named John Corben gets his hands on military grade equipment to use against the last children of Krypton. Clark and Kara meet with Lena at Luthor Corp to get more information about her involvement with the crash. She gives them a flash drive containing information that May help them. Back at the DEO, Alex confronts J'onn about his bad blood with Clark, asking him about Operation Emerald. Winn shows up and tells them that Lena was actually a target for whomever sabotaged the plane. Clark and Kara show up in time to save Lena from another attack carried out by John Corben using the stolen military drones. Clark destroys the drones scattered throughout the city, while Kara saves Lena. All the distractions in Kara's civilian life and as Supergirl causes a strain in her relationship with Jimmy. The team moves to find Corben and to protect Lena from another ambush. As Lena is giving a speech Luthor Corp explodes and Corben tries to kill her. Alex battles him while Kara and Clark stop Luthor Corp from collapsing. Corben gains the upper hand but is shot from behind by Lena. Lena thanks Clark for writing a piece exposing Corben and invites Kara to stop by again. Kara tells Cat that she wants to be a reporter to which Cat agrees to. After, Kara tells Jimmy that she would rather have him as a best friend while she figures out how to be herself and Supergirl. Winn is made a full time member of the DEO while Clark decides to stick around a little longer. John Corben awakens and is experimented on at Cadmus, gaining the name Metallo.
