I absolutely loved the Kingdom games and used to live stream them and play them quite a lot, as you can tell by the playlist links below. Monarchy is a game that is extremely similar to the Kingdom series. There are bandits that come at night instead of the Greed monsters. The bandits don't care about your coins. Building placement is quite different, you can place buildings nearly anywhere or at least you aren't restricted to only certain places within the world but rather you're restricted by proximity to other buildings. Early on, you can get an upgrade monolith or whatever you wanna call it that gives you extra bonuses that seem permanent from my play experience. Overall, I quite enjoyed playing and would definitely play again. It is not a direct copy of the Kingdom games but it very obviously took heavy inspiration from it. Would love to see how they expand the game and what they add to it later on!
