Need for Speed Unbound is a very well built game visually, graphically, and improves on many different aspects over previous NFS games such as Need for Speed Heat. Such as the police, customization, character customization, and general quality of life issues. With all of this in mind, why do I still prefer to play Need for Speed Heat over NFS Unbound?
The Week system in Need for Speed Unbound is great during the campaign. But once you beat Unbounds Campaign, the Week System actually hinders the flow of the game. It's not as easy to pick and build a car, customize the car, and go out and race freely as it is in Need for Speed Heat. You are limited in the amount of races that are available to you. In addition to this, once you finish a race in Need for Speed Unbound, you cannot race the same race again until you visit the garage and go back out.
When it comes to multiplayer, Need for Speed Unbound online is rife with glitches and exploits. Money Glitches and exploits, such as car glitches and exploits in NFS Unbound ruin the multiplayer experience in a way that basically makes playing Multiplayer worthless. The Ferrari 488 Pista exploit is still abound in Need for Speed Unbound multiplayer.
That is if you can find more than one other person in a lobby in NFS Unbound Multiplayer.
Need for Speed Unbound's Map is also very uninteresting in a lot of parts. Lakeshore City itself is probably some of the best map design in a Need for Speed Game, but outside of the city all you really have are farms and empty fields. The mountain roads around the map also are really boring. NFS Unbound's map in my opinion is not as good as Need for Speed Heat's map In my opinion.
