We have been waiting for a hot minute for any news on the first major post launch content update for Need for Speed Unbound. However today EA and criterion broke the silence and gave us a trailer and under the hood article for the next update for Need for Speed Unbound and it's..... not looking good.
This Update adds freeroam police to Need for Speed Unbound's Multiplayer. This is great, but this was supposed to be with NFS Unbound on launch. It looks like the return of cops to multiplayer will be this update's main selling point. In addition to this, Need for Speed Unbound Vol 2 also adds some new street races, rumble races, and endurance races. New races being added into NFS Unbound is always a welcome addition in my book.
Need for Speed Unbound Vol. 2 also adds two new special variants of cars already features in NFS Unbound. The Custom Lotus Emira Balmain Edition 2021 and Wagu's Fairlady Z Custom will be available. However the Fairlady Z will only be available if you have EA Plus.
In my personal opinion, this update does not feel worth the three month wait, and I'm hoping we won't need to wait three more months after this update to see some more content updates being added to Need for Speed Unbound. This content update feels super lackluster. It doesn't add any new customization, cars, or anything of any real new substance in my opinion, into Need for Speed Unbound. I'm hoping that Need for Speed Unbound Vol 3 proves to be much better in terms of adding content. I really like Need for Speed Unbound and I want to play it more! But we need more content for the game first, and this update doesn't provide that. And that is in my opinion, why I feel The New Need for Speed Unbound Update is NOT GOOD!!
