Is SketchBook free ? Autodesk SketchBook is FREE !
1One of the first question most indie developers will ask is: Is it free ?
The short answer is: YES !
The longer answer is: free is only one, specific, older version, not supported or developed anymore, not the newest for which you have to pay.
So, the catch is that the version I am talking about, and will use in my videos, is older - AutoDesk SketchBook.
That one is free, but from my point of perspective, it is more then enough for professional development and artwork creation.
Just do not confuse it or mix it with SketchBook Pro, that software is not free.

I am not sure how long is it going to be online and available for download.
Maybe that is a glitch, maybe they forgot to remove it from website since this version is not supported or developed more, who knows.

The version which I am going to use in my tutorial videos if Autodesk SketchBook 8.7.1
This version is still free for download but almost identical to premium, new version which is called SketchBook Pro and costs $24.99.
In this and next video you can see where you can find both of those versions, although I would recommend starting with free.
