Originally, we expected PoE2 to be just an expansion- to take the place of PoE1. But GGG told us at ExileCon 2023 that we are going to get a separate game, and PoE1 will continue its development as it has been. Games like World of Warcraft and RuneScape have tried the same tactic to varying success. Will this work for Path of Exile?
