Is Super Mario Land (Game Boy) Worth Playing Today? | Super Mario Land Review | Retrospective
This is a review of the first game I ever played on the original Game Boy. Being the very first true handheld Mario game meant something in 1989, but how does the game hold up today? Is it worth your time and money to seek out a copy and play the game today?
Here, I put the nostalgia aside, and tell you the good, the bad, and even the ugly about this Game Boy classic. Any feedback at all is sincerely welcome!
In this "Is It Worth Playing?/Is It Worth It?" series, I review and rate games in 5 categories, to help you decide if you should purchase and play these games.
1. History and Legacy
2. Story, Presentation, Graphics, and Sound
3. Gameplay
4. Worth Your Time?
5. Worth Your Money?
Here's a retrospective that puts Super Mario Land up against modern games that you could play today, taking factors into account such as how "Player Friendly" it is and how much it costs.
