The show was called “On the record” and the interviewer is Greta Van Susteren.

Context: Tyson was arrested in July 1991 for the rape of 18-year-old Desiree Washington. On March 26,1992, Tyson was sentenced to six years in prison along with four years of probation. He was released in March 1995 after serving less than three years of the sentence.

Tyson claims to have been arrested over 40 times starting at the age of 12 though he has always maintained his innocence with regards to his rape conviction.

After release Tyson resumed his boxing career and on June 27, 1997, he challenged Evander Holyfield for the world heavyweight title. In front of thousands of appalled live spectators at Las Vegas' MGM Grand Garden arena and millions more television viewers worldwide, Tyson bit a chunk out of Holyfield's ear and was disqualified from the fight. Soon afterward, the Nevada State Athletic Commission revoked Tyson's boxing license and fined him $3 million (10 percent of his earnings from the fight, the maximum allowable by law).

Fun Fact: He left with prison tattoos of tennis player Arthur Ashe and Chinese communist leader Mao Zedong; Tyson also dates his tattoo of Marxist revolutionary Che Guevara to this time.
His face tattoo is only 3 months old at this point.
