Steel Battalion is an Xbox video game in which the player controls a "Vertical Tank," a bipedal, heavily armed mecha manufactured by Capcom. A gigantic controller (Mega-Jockey-9000) built specifically for Steel Battalion is required to control the tank and play the game. The controller has 44 input points, most of which are buttons, but it also has two joysticks, a throttle handle, a radio station dial, five switches, an eject button, and three-foot pedals. Only a small number of units were made available. The game immediately sold out, establishing it as a collector's item. It was later re-released in limited quantities around the world, this time with blue controller buttons to distinguish it from the initial edition's green buttons.
