A lot of people saw my video on the stream of me playing an old school WoW (up to Burning Crusade) on a private server. I never got a great chance to defend myself however as I accidentally muted myself.

The question is up to what you consider gray area and not. I am looking for an experience that I do not feel I can get anywhere else. If there was an option available to play WoW that was rolled back hosted by Blizzard, I would most likely do that.

So really, it's up to what you think. I have justified it in my head as getting an experience that I cannot get without 'pirating' so to speak.
