Is Unyielding Build Too Overpowered? Why Power Armor Feels Pointless in Fallout 76
In this video, I'm diving into a pressing issue within Fallout 76: the significant gap in balance between Unyielding builds and Power Armor. In the current state of the game, an Unyielding build alone can provide more than enough defense, reducing the necessity of Power Armor, which now often comes with drawbacks like fuel consumption and stat penalties without offering enough in return.
To put it simply, even challenging missions like decrypting codes can be completed with minimal risk using an Unyielding build—so what’s the real incentive to wear Power Armor anymore? In this video, I’ll be breaking down this question using the concept of "effective HP" to illustrate why, sadly, Power Armor doesn’t even meet the standard of being something we choose simply because we love it.
I don’t mean to say it’s all bad, but as a long-time Power Armor fan, it's disappointing to see it fall behind. I’ve always loved using it, and that’s why I feel it’s time to bring this issue to light.
