In my previous video, I recorded the sound of a GSM phone call as received by my Nokia 2610. It was a classic "please stay on the line" experience. However, many comments expressed that they want to recreate this sound without recording from an actual phone call. Some suggested using GSM codecs, while some suggested using AMR codecs. In this video, we experiment with the AMR codec and various techniques to see how close we can simulate the GSM phone call experience.
We also compared AMR with Opus at different bitrates to see how they compare.
