I've heard this question a lot. Well, the short answer would be YES, of course, no doubt... and I know 2020 is almost over, but if you want to hear the slightly longer version and see what MAKES THIS GAME FUN, stick around and lets go through some details about what makes this game so appealing after so many years.
Warframe started as an concept back in the year 2000 reaching a full release in 2013 as a Free To Play third person action role playing game.
There are a lot of quote on quote free to play games out there, but they really uphold to this format, as almost everything in the game is available and obtainable through just playing the game, ...how fast are you going to get everything...well that's another story. And I say almost everything because there are some customizable that are only available with real money and cannot be bought with Platinum.
As for popularity.. well Warframe might just be the best game Digital Extremes worked on, and they have been constantly updating it and trying to improve it, ....so much ..that their consistent involvement in the game brought them a total player base of nearly 50 MILLION back in 2019.
