Is XDefiant really the COD KILLER? (Review and Impressions)
59XDefiant has attracted 1 million players and the latest beta just closed. In this gameplay I lay out my initial impressions on the game and give my review. The game is being developed by Ubisoft and is its latest attempt to establish itself in the current multiplayer FPS landscape.
The game has been dubbed the COD killer by some, due to its similarities with the Call of Duty franchise and the advice given in the development process by former professional players.
In this video I explain how to play xdefiant zone control, but there are other game modes: escort, domination and essentially hardpoint that marry concepts from Call of Duty with Overwatch. In terms of abilities its similar to Black Ops, and the gun play feels very similar to the COD games of old.
The release date for XDefiant has not been announced but with this beta its looking very close to being ready to launch soon.
I had a lot of fun playing the beta and I can't wait to see what XDefiant is like on launch, and what the future could hold for this game.
